Job Title

Maintenance Planner/Scheduler

• Review and analyze incoming work orders to identify materials, craftsperson time, priorities, and other requirements.
• Estimate job costs (crafts time, materials, tools, equipment downtime) and submit estimates for approval prior to scheduling.
• Develop weekly maintenance work schedule based on materials availability, priority of requests, production considerations, and craftsperson availability.
• Ensure accuracy of shop work orders in the Maintenance Management System for accounting and record keeping.
• Review actual versus planned work order reports to assure effectiveness of the planning and scheduling process and identify problem areas if any.

• Associate’s degree or higher in Maintenance, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Two years of experience in maintenance planning, maintenance scheduling, or a related manufacturing/operations role.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Applicants meeting the basic qualifications may be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as part of the selection process.

Additional qualifications that may help you succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• Five years of maintenance planning/scheduling experience.
• Experience developing weekly and daily labor schedules for multi‑craft maintenance teams.
• Experience reviewing and processing maintenance work orders.
• Knowledge of equipment downtime tracking, job costing, and planned versus actual work analysis.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement, reliability, or maintenance process improvement initiatives.

  on‑site at 3M, Nevada, MO (minimum five days a week).

• Relocation: none.

The starting hourly pay rate is $29.87 to $39.72, a good faith estimate that can vary based on factors such as experience, skills, and education. Additional benefits and incentives may apply.
