HVAC Service Technician

We are actively looking for a HVAC Technician/Engineer to join the team in Richmond, VA in the USA. In joining Excool you would be part of a World leading company where opportunities are virtually whatever you want them to be.

As a HVAC Service Technician, you will be trained to service, maintain, and repair company products, predominantly based at our customer premises in Springfield, Ohio. whilst maintaining relationships with the customers. This role may also require travel within the US to support other customer sites. Technicians may be subject to an emergency on-call rotation schedule to respond to emergency call outs.

• Respond in a professional manner to all assigned works
• Complete all necessary service and maintenance tasks on new and existing equipment in line with Excool’s maintenance procedures.
• Investigate, diagnose and repair faults on Excool equipment.
• Read, understand all and comply with all procedures and policies.
• Perform all works in a safe manner in line with the company H&S manual.
• Keep the team informed of the work schedule to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Ensure spare parts are accounted for and reported to the service manager.
• Provide detailed reports on the Excool assets onsite.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of work carried out to enable traceability
• Ensure the client is informed of the work carried out at their premises
• Ensure professional and effective flow of information with clients and other team members.
• Support the On-call system as a call out engineer

The above list is not exhaustive, and you may be required to take on other duties and responsibilities for the effective and efficient performance of this role.

• Previous experience in the HVAC servicing industry is desirable
• Qualifications in HVAC or in an engineering background is desirable
• Ability to use basic Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• The right to work in the USA.
• Ability to understand and follow drawings and schematics.

• In the short term, new product development requires a significant amount of new documentation to be produced to provide technical guidance and food for the marketing machine.
• Our existing sales support team do not have the capacity to support this large project in the aggressive timescales we are aiming for. Medium to long term, we need more team members capable of carrying selections and providing applications guidance to clients
• New products require UL certifications and drawings to be provided, which also require constant updates.
• Technical product documentation and produce unit selections.
• Produce factory SM and sales drawings where required.
