Pay Range$18.00 – $20.00 per hour
Summary / ObjectiveTo assist in providing maintenance on residential heating and air conditioning systems according to company standards, providing the customer with a high‑quality experience.
Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full‑time, non‑exempt position. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. Work hours are based on business needs and may vary. Extended hours and weekend work may be required to meet operational demands.
Essential Job FunctionsComplete Duct Cleaning training program. Perform thorough cleaning of HVAC ductwork, vents, and air handling units using appropriate tools and techniques as trained. Stage job site to protect floors, walls, doors, and furniture from hoses and equipment. Inspect duct systems for debris buildup, mold, damage, or inefficiencies. Operate vacuum systems, air compressors, rotary brushes, and other duct cleaning equipment. Safely remove, clean, and reinstall registers, grilles, and access panels.
Fog and sanitize ductwork as approved by customer. Document work completed, including before‑and‑after photos, and report any issues or needed repairs to Service Manager. Provide excellent customer service, explaining services and answering customer questions when on‑site. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment. Assist with other HVAC maintenance or support tasks as needed.
Complete Preventative Maintenance Training Program. Perform thorough cleaning and preventative maintenance of HVAC systems and equipment. Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times. Arrive at the job site at scheduled time and location as dispatched. Relocate from one job site to another during the workday. Report to the Service Coordinator when arriving and leaving job site. Operate company vehicle safely, obeying all traffic laws.
Follow instructions from supervisor and/or dispatcher and carry out work in a timely manner. Report issues with tools or vehicles promptly to Service Manager. Report problems with customers to Manager or Service Coordinator immediately. Document work with written notes and photos in software program. Complete all service‑related forms accurately. Communicate with customers and collect C.O.D. on service visits as directed.
Gather information about equipment replacement needs per Service Referral process. Inform and educate customers about the benefits of preventative maintenance. Inform and educate customers on additional products or services available. Develop basic knowledge of electrical refrigeration principles.
