First Grade Teacher; Classical Liberal Arts

Angelus Academy, an independent Catholic liberal‑arts school that serves students in preschool through eighth grade, is accepting applications for a first grade teaching position for the upcoming  school year. We are located in Northern Virginia, approximately 16 miles from Washington, DC and in the vibrant Diocese of Arlington.

Angelus Academy is a small, faith‑filled community of caring educators and supportive parents who are committed to forming the next generation of Catholic faithful. Our small class sizes, unique Salvation History‑based curriculum, and dedication to teaching in the classical tradition foster a love of learning, the mastery of skills, and most importantly, a sense of God's love and His plans for each student.

Our school year is enriched by many special events, daily prayer, weekly Mass, and monthly Adoration in our school's chapel.

Applicants should have a background in early childhood education, elementary education, reading/literacy, or the equivalent. Experience with or an interest in classical education is also beneficial. We welcome novice teachers who share a love of learning and a desire to continue growing professionally and spiritually. We provide ongoing formation to our faculty and supportive mentorship to new teachers.
