Refuse & Recycling Chargehand - Refuse Class 2 Driver

Working as a Refuse & Recycling Chargehand (HGV Driver) , you will be responsible for both driving Class 2 vehicles (Category

C) and supervising a team of loaders to deliver efficient waste and recycling services. This is a hands-on role involving driving, loading, and team supervision within a public-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities Drive HGV Class 2 / Category C vehicles on refuse and recycling routes Supervise and lead waste collection operatives / loaders Carry out domestic waste collection, trade waste collection, and recycling collections Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, DVSA, and highway regulations Complete daily vehicle checks, tachograph compliance, and route paperwork Collect general waste, recycling, garden waste, bulky items, and commercial waste Maintain a high level of customer service and public interaction Assist with manual handling, loading, and operational duties as required Essential Requirements (Keywords for Search Matching) HGV Class 2 Licence (Category
