The Role
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to support our operations across the Stirling area. This is a field-based role where you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing Volvo construction equipment at customer sites, ensuring we deliver a first-class experience to both internal and external customers. You will combine strong technical expertise with a commercially focused mindset, identifying service opportunities while delivering efficient and high-quality repairs.
Keyresponsibilities
You will be responsible for delivering on-site service and maintenance, ensuring machinery is repaired efficiently and customer expectations are consistently met.
- Service, maintain and repair Volvo construction and associated equipment
- Diagnose faults using technical expertise and diagnostic tools, providing clear guidance to customers
- Work in line with quotations and time guides, identifying additional work where required
- Complete all reports, job cards and timesheets accurately in real time
- Identify opportunities to promote additional services and aftermarket solutions
You will be a skilled and customer-focused engineer, comfortable working independently in a field-based role while maintaining high technical and safety standards.
- Engineering qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Plant, HGV or similar)
- Proven experience maintaining and repairing heavy plant or construction equipment
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence and ability to work flexibly, including overtime and call-outs
- Experience with welding or fabrication
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulics, electrics or emissions systems
