Project Manager, Digital Transformation & AI
Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador is leading a province-wide initiative to help tourism businesses strengthen operations, improve productivity, and adopt practical digital tools and artificial intelligence.
We’re looking for a Project Manager to lead this work from planning through delivery, build strong partnerships, and turn complex digital concepts into clear, practical solutions for industry.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys leading collaborative projects, working with partners across sectors, and helping businesses apply technology in meaningful ways.
About the Opportunity
In this role, you will:
Improve productivity across tourism businesses
Support small businesses, including those in rural areas, in adopting digital tools
Strengthen business operations through practical AI applications
Build a connected ecosystem of industry, technology, and training
Key Responsibilities
Lead implementation of a province-wide digital transformation and AI initiative
Design and deliver programs, tools, pilots, training, and other supports for tourism businesses
Work with tourism businesses and support the practical use of digital tools and AI
Build and manage partnerships with technology providers, post‑secondary institutions, industry stakeholders, and government
Translate digital and AI concepts into practical business solutions
Track project performance, outcomes, and impact
What We’re Looking For
Experience leading complex projects or programs from planning through implementation
Ability to build strong working relationships across industry, education, technology, and government
Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills
Ability to explain complex ideas in clear, practical language
Ability to follow through on work, meet deadlines, and look for ways to improve processes
Education and Experience
Post‑secondary education in business, tourism, project management, artificial intelligence or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience working with small businesses in tourism, hospitality, service industries, technology, or a related sector
Experience managing timelines, budgets, priorities, and performance measures
Experience in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, or a related field
Knowledge of the tourism industry in Newfoundland and Labrador is an asset
Experience working in a not‑for‑profit or member‑based organization is an asset
Ability to travel within the province. A valid driver’s licence may be required for some travel.
Full‑time contract position tied to the project, with an anticipated term running through 2029.
Salary
Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
