Registered Nurse — Recovery Village South Atlanta

At Recovery Village South Atlanta (RVSA), we offer a complete continuum of care for patients on their recovery journey. As a 55-bed facility, RVSA provides medical detox, inpatient treatment, outpatient care, and aftercare, located about 25 miles south of downtown Atlanta. Learn more about RVSA at the RVSA website.

The Registered Nurse performs a wide variety of duties, caring for and educating patients about medical and psychiatric conditions. Establishing trust and building rapport with patients and their families are key elements of this role. The nurse works with facility leadership to support the facility’s success by completing the following:

• Complete appropriate documents within the required timeframe after admission to the program; maintain medical records.
• Administer medications as indicated and monitor the detoxification process.
• Transcribe physician orders and implement all medical protocols as ordered.
• Confer with and assist medical personnel, both internal and external resources.
• Provide documentation reflecting services for each patient in accordance with licensure standards.
• Assess the medical and psychiatric needs of the patient, determine urgency, and expedite treatment as required.
• Communicate concerns about patient health to appropriate personnel and follow up as necessary.
• Educate patients about medications, health issues, and medical conditions.
• Take verbal orders from the medical provider, document them in the patient record, and carry them out accurately and professionally.
• Provide routine nursing care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Licensed to practice in the State of Georgia required.
• Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Check.

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
• Behavioral health experience preferred.
