Mon-Thu 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: £14.32 - £19.42 per hour (dependent on experience)
Operating within a dynamic Test & Development Engineering facility, you will join the Electronics, Controls, and Instrumentation (EC&I) team. Your primary mission will be to calibrate, maintain, and repair vital test facility measurement systems to ensure data output remains flawless. You will also get hands-on with installing and commissioning advanced engine test cells and modified equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble & Upgrade:
Build and upgrade high-standard instrumentation panels.

Diagnose & Repair:
Perform comprehensive electronic diagnostics using advanced equipment and provide rapid first-line breakdown support.

Maintain & Calibrate:
Execute Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) and calibration routines for test cells and interface harnesses.

Collaborate:
Read and interpret technical drawings to work seamlessly alongside engineers, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.

What We Are Looking For

Our client values practical capability and a commitment to quality. They prefer a combination of these skills rather than expecting you to tick every single box right away:

A Level 3 technical apprenticeship (electrical/electronic bias) OR strong, hands-on industry experience without a formal apprenticeship.

Proven experience in building/wiring electrical and instrumentation panels.

Hands-on experience with the calibration and fault-finding of precision instrumentation.

The ability to easily read and interpret electronic design schematics and electrical drawings.

A proactive attitude with a strict commitment to health and safety standards.

An understanding of engine test cell environments.

Multi-skilled in both electrical and electronics disciplines.

Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis techniques.

ISO
7671 IEE 18th Edition Electrical Regulations or an HNC in a relevant discipline.
