Hours: Rotating 3‑shift pattern (6am‑2pm, 2pm‑10pm, 10pm‑6am) Monday‑Sunday; average 37 hours per week over a 10‑week pattern.

The RoleCCTV Operators work in a team that monitors cameras across the city 24/7/365. The CCTV Control Room monitors cameras and alarms, which can be intense and demanding. The role involves working with partner agencies and other internal teams to ensure the safety and protection of residents, visitors and council assets.
Key Responsibilities- Monitoring cameras and alarms proactively to assist in the prevention and detection of crime.
- Producing evidence and material to assist in the prosecution of offenders.
- Dealing with members of the public via telephone or intercoms.
- Using radios and other communication devices to liaise with partner agencies to deter and detect criminal behaviour, making the city as safe and secure as possible.
- Managing keys and alarm activations and liaising with security personnel.
- Good and clear communication skills.
- Good observational skills.
- Experience working within the CCTV industry and with video management systems/platforms.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to deal with conflicting demands.
