Schedule: 4/10-1st Shift
About the Opportunity: Support engineering flight and ground test operations through precision strain gage installations, apply instrumentation techniques to aircraft and facility components across a variety of materials, and assist engineering teams with testing, data collection, and instrumentation setup activities.
Responsibilities- Perform strain gage installations for engineering flight and ground testing programs.
- Configure and support Wheatstone bridge wiring for instrumentation systems.
- Apply strain gages to aircraft structures and facility components made from metals and composite materials.
- Prepare surfaces and components for accurate instrumentation installation and testing.
- Verify installation quality and ensure instrumentation meets engineering specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and test teams to support operational testing requirements.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation setup and wiring issues during testing activities.
- Follow safety procedures, technical standards, and quality requirements throughout all assignments.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of experience with measurement systems, instrumentation wiring, documentation, and Wheatstone Bridge wiring of strain gages to measure Torque, Axial Load, Bending and Shear strain.
- Knowledge of strain gage Wheatstone bridge wiring methodology.
- Ability to apply gages to aircraft and facility components manufactured from a variety of metals and composites.
- Fluency and experience with Micro‑Measurements techniques and procedures.
- Ability to accomplish needed surface preparation, strain gage measurement, layout, alignment, and bonding.
- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.
- Need flexibility to support overtime, extended, and modified shift requirements.
