Role DescriptionThis full-time, on-site Service Manager position is based in Door County, WI. The Service Manager will oversee the daily operations of the service department, ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include working with the foreman to oversee a team of marine technicians, scheduling service appointments, creating estimates, coordinating repairs, maintaining service equipment, overseeing timely billing, and ensuring quality control.
The role involves working closely with the service advisor, parts manager, and yard team along with customers to address service-related inquiries and concerns, and collaborating across departments to optimize the overall customer experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading and motivating service teams
- Have mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
- Customer service and communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams, customers, and resolve concerns
- Strong organizational capabilities to manage schedules, coordinate tasks, and handle operational challenges in a fluid work environment
- Proficiency in using service software
- Prior experience in a service department or marine industry role is a must
- Technical or vocational training in marine services is a strong asset
- Availability to work on-site
- Understanding of safety regulations and standards in the marine industry
