About the Role
Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support our cybersecurity team onsite in Marlborough, Massachusetts. You'll interface with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and ensure adherence to NISPOM Chapter 8, DAAPM, JSIG policies.
Key Responsibilities- System compliance and auditing.
- Security plan development.
- Deliver information systems security education and awareness.
- Investigate security violations and prepare corrective/preventive reports.
- Collaborate routinely with facility security team, program personnel, and government representatives.
- Security sustainment activities (hardware change management, software change management, account management, media protection, user interface, file transfers, etc.).
Within six months of hire, you must obtain and maintain a security professional certification commensurate with IAM Level I (e.g., Security+).
Qualifications- University degree and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience in Cybersecurity, systems security or hardening.
- Compliance-based auditing using RMF, DCSA Assessment & Authorization Process Manual, Joint SAP Implementation Guide, NISPOM, or non-defense regulations such as FAA, PCI, ISO 9001, HIPAA.
- Experience with computer technologies (databases, OS, networking, software, hardware troubleshooting).
- Physical security, police work, investigations, Border Patrol experience, project/program management, office management, senior administration, or account management.
- Experience in DoD classified operating or laboratory environments.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity RMF and compliance as stipulated by NISPOM/DAAPM/JSIG/ICD 503/STIGs and NIST publications.
- Audit reviews such as physical security, network/system event logs, password administration, file access privileges.
- Knowledge of cyber incident response processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication, especially documentation.
- Customer focused, adaptable, willing to work varying assignments.
- Completion of National Industrial Security Program cybersecurity training courses.
$68,900 – $131,100 USD.
