Job OverviewModel:
Material Handler – BMS Summit, NJ. In this role you will manage material needs and requirements for CAR‑T production per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in controlled or classified environments. You will operate under the supervision of Warehousing Operations Management, adhere to regulatory requirements while performing job functions, and communicate production deviations and assist with quality investigations as required.
- Sunday – Wednesday (with every other Wednesday off), onsite, 11 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.
- Perform inventory control: cycle counts, material stocking, scrapping, as a minimum.
- Manage material expiry, allocation, and maintain material condition requirements.
- Quantify and maintain materials in the production dispensary.
- Maintain timing according to the production schedule to ensure on‑time logistics.
- Record material handling data and information in a clear, concise format according to proper GDPs.
- Work in a team‑based, cross‑functional environment to complete warehousing tasks required by the shift schedule.
- Must be able to work in an environment with blood‑derived components.
- Knowledge of cGMP/FDA regulated industry.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- General understanding of cGMPs.
- Technical writing capability.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Inventory control and/or management experience.
- Background in biology, chemistry, medical or clinical practices.
- Bachelor’s degree with no prior manufacturing or operations experience.
- OR Associate or Medical Technical degree and 1–2 years of manufacturing or operations experience.
- OR High school diploma/GED and 3–4 years of manufacturing or operations experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
- Strong MS Office experience.
- 1 year of GMP experience.
- 1 year of ERP experience.
