MATERIAL HANDLER II - PUTAWAY 3rd Shift

Primary objective:
Operates various powered industrial trucks to transport product from the receiving department to stock shelves.

• 3rd: M-F, 5:00 pm–1:30 am

• Sit-Down Forklift
• Order Picker/Cherry Picker Forklift

• Picking:
  Operate powered industrial truck(s) to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets; key orders into Warehouse Management System (WMS); verify stock availability and audit orders for accuracy; convey picked orders to packing station or shipping areas.

• Receiving:
  Operate powered industrial trucks to receive product into warehouse and prepare for stocking; open crates and inspect product; apply labels to product according to established procedures; verify shading of product and place into accurate warehouse location.

• Putaway:
  Utilize powered industrial equipment to move product into pre-designated areas within warehouse once received; key location of product into inventory control system and place product onto shelves; ensure product is placed into accurate location.

• SPC Check/Pack Checking:
  Wrap and pack products by hand into boxes for shipping; label boxes with packing slip; load boxes into conveyor belt; verify orders for accuracy.

• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
• Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
• Keeps area safe, clean, and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 or more years of previous distribution/warehouse experience. Must have a minimum of six months to 1 year of sit-down forklift, reach truck, and OP experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills; good record keeping and listening skills; accurate measurement capability; ability to understand and speak English.
• Ability to work in a safe conscientious manner.
• Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
