Intermediate Structural Designer

This is a full-time on-site role for an Intermediate Structural Drafter and Designer. The role involves collaborating with engineering teams to produce shop, technical, and architectural drawings for various industrial projects.
This is a full-time on-site role as an Intermediate Structural Drafter Designer located in Vancouver, BC (Surrey). As an Intermediate Structural Drafter Designer, you will be responsible for designing and drafting comprehensive structural drawings and creating detailed reports on projects. You will also work with engineering staff on the preparation of conceptual and final designs and assist in performing calculations and applying codes and standards.
Qualifications   Minimum 5 years of experience as a Structural Drafter or Designer
Experience in the forestry, mining, petrochemical, or power generation industries is an asset
Degree or diploma in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering Technology, or related field
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Advance Steel, Navisworks, Revit and Microsoft Office
Knowledge of industrial construction systems and detailing, structural steel, reinforced concrete design, and foundation design principles
Experience in working with a multi-disciplinary team including engineers, and contractors
Experience in coordinating with project managers and site personnel
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information concisely and clearly
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
Ability to work on multiple projects with the highest level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to different drawing standards and specifications
