This role requires a Registered Nurse with significant clinical expertise in maternity care, ensuring top-quality assessments and intervention plans. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to adapt care strategies based on patient needs, promoting autonomy and informed choice among families. Your ability to educate and foster relationships will enhance the quality of care provided to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and monitor mother-baby health on admission
• Engage as a key member of the inter-professional team
• Develop individualized care plans with patient input
• Facilitate family education and self-management programs
• Accurately document all nursing actions and patient outcomes
Requirements:
• Must have graduated from an approved nursing program
• Current registration with BCCNM required
• At least two years of clinical experience in maternity
• Valid BC Driver's License for work-related travel
• Strong communication and organizational skills
