Relief Part Time Perinatal Nurse

Enhance maternal care as a Relief Part Time Registered Nurse, Perinatal at Surrey Memorial Hospital in Surrey, B.C. Provide vital support to childbearing patients and their families during critical stages of pregnancy and postpartum.
We're seeking a part-time relief nurse until approximately November 2026 as part of our skilled maternity team. This role requires recent clinical perinatal nursing experience and proficiency in comprehensive patient assessments, crisis intervention, and collaborative care planning. You will play an integral role in delivering empathetic, person-centered care within this fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients and unborn babies

• Collaborate with care teams on patient care plans

• Teach families about pregnancy and newborn care

• Document patient care and interventions

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:

• Current registration with BCCNM

• One year of recent perinatal nursing experience

• Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
