Lilac Place Youth Worker Position

Take on a fulfilling role as a Youth Worker at Sources' Lilac Place! Support at-risk youth by implementing trauma-informed practices and facilitating therapeutic activities.

Sources is hiring a permanent part-time Youth Worker passionate about community wellbeing. You will work closely with youth and families, guiding them through daily routines and recreational activities that promote positive development. This role requires a deep understanding of harm reduction practices and effective communication with caregivers and community support services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement daily activity routines for youth participants

• Facilitate recreational and life skills programs

• Follow prescribed medication administration protocols

• Maintain a safe and supportive therapeutic environment

• Collaborate with case management and community resources

Requirements:

• Educational background in psychology or related fields preferred

• Experience with youth aged 12-18, focusing on at-risk populations

• Knowledge in trauma-informed care and emotional safety

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and documentation

• Possession of a valid BC driver’s license and first aid certification
