This role, reporting to the Youth Services Program Manager, involves educating youth about health issues and available resources. You will engage with young people, helping them identify risks and providing crisis intervention as necessary. Building collaborative partnerships is key to connecting youth with vital services in Surrey and the Fraser Valley.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide information and referrals to youth and families
• Advocate for youth and support in accessing services
• Manage participant statistics and report to management
• Develop relationships with community agencies
• Use a case-management approach for individual youth
Requirements:
• Education in Child and Youth Care or Human Services
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Indigenous youth
• Class 5 Driver’s License and own vehicle
• Clear criminal record and Vulnerable Person’s check
• Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and outreach practices
Support Indigenous youth's empowerment and well-being in Surrey.
