Shipping & Receiving Specialist II

Surrey BC Warehouse nd Street, Unit #102, Surrey, BC V3Z 3X1

Monday to Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, 40 hours per week

• Ensure discrepancies are handled according to proper procedure.
• Bundle, wrap or band material for shipment.
• Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.
• Carry out general yard duties such as housekeeping, cleanup, inventory/material counts and general organization.
• Install protective devices such as bracing, padding, or strapping to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
• Load and unload cargo using a sit‑down forklift.
• Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.
• Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
• Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
• Sort and identify cargo before loading and unloading and compare to shippers.
• Stack cargo in locations as directed using pallets or cargo boards.
• Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
• Work safely by following all MiTek health & safety procedures and policies.

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively.
• Good communication skills.
• Team player.
