The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our growing team at Orchard Manor. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with autism and complex needs, supporting them to achieve outcomes they may never have thought possible.
Responsibilities- Provide individual and small group support, helping pupils access learning and develop key skills.
- Assist in delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to pupils needs.
- Support pupils social, emotional, and communication development.
- Prepare classroom resources and support school activities, trips, and enrichment.
- Implement positive behaviour strategies and help maintain a safe, inclusive environment.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to ensure holistic support.
We want someone who is:
- Caring, patient, and adaptable.
- Experienced in SEND provision.
- A proactive team player who communicates well and collaborates effectively.
- Committed to helping pupils grow in confidence, independence, and self-belief.
Qualifications
Required:
Relevant experience in SEND provision (highly desirable).
Orchard Manor School, part of Options Autism, is a brand-new independent specialist school opening near Kings Lynn in Downham Market. The school will cater for up to 72 pupils aged 5 to 16 with a range of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
Orchard Manor School offers a curriculum thoughtfully designed around the needs of autistic learners and those with related needs. Education is supported by a fully integrated on‑site clinical team, ensuring a holistic, person‑centred approach to learning and wellbeing.
