We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Superintendent I to join our team. The Superintendent I will provide leadership and support on-site, helping to ensure project goals are met while maintaining ICON National’s quality and safety standards. The Superintendent I will collaborate closely with other Superintendents and project teams, managing subcontractors, monitoring progress, and helping resolve site issues as needed. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and able to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently, while ensuring a welcoming and professional work environment.
These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee daily on-site activities, coordinating efforts among subcontractors to meet project milestones.
- Monitor and support subcontractor performance, identifying and addressing issues to keep projects on schedule.
- Ensure that all work is completed according to project specifications, maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the Superintendent to track job costs, document expenditures, and maintain accurate reports.
- Support safety efforts by enforcing ICON National’s safety protocols and maintaining job site safety records.
- Assist in resolving site issues, including schedule delays or quality concerns, by working proactively with the project team.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Serve as a point of contact on-site in the absence of the Superintendent.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior‑level assistant superintendents and provide performance feedback to Superintendent.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the business.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in construction, including supervision of subcontractors and multi‑trade coordination.
- Advanced knowledge of construction project planning, cost control, and quality assurance.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction safety regulations and protocols, including OSHA requirements.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractor performance and schedules effectively.
- Highly proficient in construction management software.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
