AECOM's Mechanical Engineering group is seeking a dynamic, talented Mechanical Engineer for immediate employment based in Tampa, FL.

This position will work within the Building & Places (B+P) organization and provide engineering expertise in relation to Buildings, Facilities, or other structures.

Key aspects of this position include:

• Leading design efforts of the mechanical systems from concept through construction across multi‑disciplinary teams, ensuring quality, compliance, and innovation.
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, vendors, and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Preparing and delivering high‑quality drawings (AutoCAD and Revit), construction documents, specifications, reports and helping in cost estimates.
• Providing input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
• Compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Performing quality control review of design calculations and drawings.
• Participating in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Conducting site visits to document and evaluate mechanical systems.

• BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• AutoCAD and Revit professional experience.

• 10+ years of related mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience as a lead engineer on project design, with Federal experience beneficial.

• Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
• Relocation is not available for this position.
