We are looking for an experienced Transportation - Highway Engineer to join our team in our Tampa, FL office.
Responsibilities- Develop roadway designs and produce construction plans for FDOT and local agency projects
- Design horizontal and vertical alignments, roadside features, and maintenance of traffic (MOT) plans
- Coordinate utilities, prepare specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports
- Support design-build and alternative delivery projects, including P3 initiatives
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff
- 5–10 years of experience in highway/roadway design
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Florida, or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Strong knowledge of FDOT standards, specifications, and procedures
- Proficiency in Micro Station, Geopak, InRoads, Open Roads, and/or AutoCAD
- Experience with 3D design and alternative delivery methods (Design-Build, P3) is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative mindset and a desire to grow professionally
- Willingness to travel to project sites, client meetings, and other WRA offices as needed
