Business Analytics and Recognition Data Analyst

This position is based out of our global operations center in Tampa, FL. The Business Analytics and Recognition Data Analyst plays a key role in supporting the firm’s data-driven marketing, recognition, and knowledge management initiatives. This position is responsible for the collection, validation, analysis, and strategic use of firm data that supports legal directories, accolades, survey submissions, and internal reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Follow best practices to support submissions for publication, client, industry, and government surveys; as well as directory and award nominations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Support the calendaring of directory, publication, and survey submissions, implementing and improving the submission process for each unique publication, directory, survey, or accolade submission while helping improve submission workflows and documentation.
- Collect, maintain, and report on firm demographic, financial and operational data to support engagement, marketing, and other business professionals, including the development of dashboards and reporting tools using Microsoft Power BI or similar platforms.
- Perform data validation and quality control across submissions and internal datasets to ensure consistency, accuracy, and high-quality deliverables.
- Integrate and verify firm financial, client matter and HR Systems data while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with all Firm privacy guidelines, data retention standards, and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) requirements.
- Support development, integration and maintenance of firm submissions and experience databases under the direction of Business Analytics and Marketing leadership and in partnership with the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO).
- Maintain documentation of declined opportunities or submissions to avoid, including rationale and historical context.
- Maintain and report firm data metrics and performance indicators, providing regular updates to Marketing, Engagement and Firm leadership.
- Stay abreast of the information needs, workflow and preferences of users and stakeholders in order to improve ease of access to information and best-in-class data support.
- Support the development of Business Analytics and Recognition Data training material, including show sheets and training manuals, ensuring accuracy of all instructional material.
- Help develop improved reporting of RFPs, surveys, directories, publications, accolades, and other submissions.
- Participate in Business Analytics and Recognition Data team meetings and collaborate across departments to promote centralized and accessible firm data.
- Assist in creating analytical reports in order to identify problems, opportunities, and potential solutions in day-to-day business functions.
- Work in collaboration with Marketing, Knowledge Management, Finance, Human Resources, IT, and Innovation teams to promote centralization of and easy access to data.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule and full attention to and engagement in work activities on behalf of the firm during business hours unless otherwise approved or required by applicable law.
- Special projects and duties as assigned.
- Data analysis and legal knowledge management – ability to analyze information, logically organize information, and integrate findings into work product.
- Attention to detail with high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Intermediate understanding of legal systems and concepts, with an awareness of the legal industry and current trends.
- Experience with knowledge management, including some understanding of metadata’s role in information organization.
- Experience analyzing and reporting on large data sets, with ability to synthesize large quantities of data and express complex concepts in a concise, business format.
