Technical Manager – Quality and Training
The ideal candidate will be well‑versed in hyperscale low voltage quality assurance and training. This role requires 60-70% travel.
Job SummaryResponsible for program‑level quality governance, inspection readiness, and QA/QC standardization across large‑scale, mission‑critical infrastructure programs spanning multiple regions. Ensures installation quality, inspection processes, documentation accuracy, and turnover readiness meet company standards and customer requirements.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Program Quality Governance & Oversight:
Provide program‑level quality governance across all regions and project sites; implement standardized QA/QC procedures and documentation standards; serve as primary escalation point. - Inspection Planning & Execution:
Develop and maintain inspection plans for installation, testing, commissioning, and turnover; coordinate field quality audits; validate readiness for key milestones. - QA/QC Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain inspection records, punch lists, photos, reports; track and report quality KPIs and corrective actions; provide status updates to Program Management and Operations. - Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
Partner with Operations, Project Managers, Superintendents, Field Engineers, and Technical Managers; support pre‑construction teams; participate in customer and contractor quality reviews. - Mentor & Training:
Mentor Quality Specialists and training personnel; drive continuous improvement via lessons learned and enhanced QA/QC workflows; support delivery of quality‑related training and field guidance.
- Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred. - Experience:
Minimum five (5) years in project management or quality leadership in telecommunications, mission‑critical, or construction environments; minimum three (3) years in QA/QC, inspection, or training roles. - Skills:
Proven problem‑solving, critical thinking, and effective communication; ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, reporting, and quality requirements; travel nationwide as required. - Technical:
Experience with Plan Grid or equivalent QA/QC inspection tools; BICSI trainer certification preferred; knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory. - Licensing:
Minimum Years of Experience 6+; license required, no minimum education.
