Surveyor EngineerUnder direction of the Survey Division Manager, coordinates the activities of a field survey party; performs the most technically‑complex paraprofessional field surveying duties to support Heavy Highway Construction staking, and is responsible for calculations, various staking including bridges, storm drain, ponds, sewer, striping, ROW, surfaces, and may include Machine Control Paving, profilographing, and performs other duties as required on heavy highway projects and commercial projects.
Is responsible for the effective performance, training, and safety of all members of a field survey party. Coordinates with Project Managers on workloads and staking needs, is focused on safety for all team members. Must know how to read plans and specifications. Actively participates in and provides input for the evaluation of personnel involved with their projects. Must be willing to work solo, nights, weekends, and be willing to travel when needed.

- A minimum of 4 years of survey experience with a heavy Civil / Highway construction is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with Trimble and Leica equipment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Good communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and MS Outlook Exchange is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3d, and or Trimble Business Center.
- Variable shifts.
- Weekend availability.
- Driver's license (Required).
