Procedural RN Endoscopy

Location

Baylor Scott & White - Centennial (Frisco, TX)

PRN Day coverage. Two scheduled 8 hour shifts per month, Mon - Fri. Three call days per month, one weekend day.

• 2+ years Endoscopy RN experience required

As a Procedural Registered Nurse, work as a licensed professional overseeing patient care. Responsibilities include assessing patients, identifying nursing diagnoses, developing personalized care plans, regularly assessing patient responses, delegating tasks based on Texas nursing laws, patient conditions, and staff skills.

• Use careful clinical judgment, assess patients, prioritize needs, create and adjust care plans
• Track quality indicators, make changes based on research, join quality improvement initiatives
• Teach patients and staff; integrate education at all levels
• Use strategies and resources to solve problems for patients, families, and staff
• Enhance professionalism, contribute to decision-making, recognize others’ contributions

• In-depth understanding of nursing standards and procedures
• Understanding legal, regulatory, and professional standards; certification and accreditation requirements
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Critical thinking and problem solving
• Monitor patients’ health and communicate changes efficiently to nursing staff and healthcare providers
• Deliver patient-centered care honoring patient diversity; follow nursing process and standards

• Accredited program or 2 years minimum required
• Major focus or specialization in Nursing
• 2 years Endoscopy RN experience
• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer
