Job Title: Instructional Coach Wage/Hour Status: Exempt
Reports to: Curriculum & Instruction Pay Grade: 211 days

Primary
Purpose:
The instructional coach will serve as an on-site professional staff developer who collaborates
with administration and teachers to use effective research-based teaching strategies that results in
high levels of student engagement and achievement. Coaches will provide on-site coaching using a
variety of instructional approaches and interventions to teachers in response to teacher need and
analysis of student achievement data.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master's degree (preferred)
Mid-management Certification (preferred)
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
Knowledge of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of adopted core curriculum
Knowledge of research-based practices
Knowledge of formative and summative assessment strategies
Knowledge of the school improvement process
Knowledge of classroom management techniques
Ability to interpret data
Interpersonal communication skills (oral and written) to build relationships with teachers, student, and school personnel
Experience:
Three years successful teaching experience
Such alternative to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable
