What You Can Expect
As the Site Operations Manager for our power plant near Goldthwaite, TX, you will oversee employment, training, schedules, safety, and daily financial operations. You will be responsible for ensuring all permits and reports are current and compliant with federal and state regulations, manage vendors, subcontractors, maintenance, and consultants, troubleshoot Balance of Plant switching, LOTO functions, and liaise with landowners and local communities.
In this role you will lead a team of two technicians and indirectly oversee a Regional Administrator. Using SCADA and other systems, you will monitor asset performance, maintain documentation, and provide status reports for cross‑functional projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide technical and management support for the design and operation of the wind farm site
- Attain substation technician certification within 12 months of hire
- Execute environmental legislation to prevent spills
- Manage a safety program that complies with all Federal and State requirements
- Cooperate with internal and third parties regarding safety and regulatory compliance and respond to recommendations in a timely manner
- High‑school diploma, technical degree, or equivalent with leadership, management, communication, organizational, and operational skills
- Seven years experience in an industry with industrial electrical, power generation, or utility‑scale equipment
- Two years supervisory experience of technical or maintenance personnel
- Knowledge of wind power generating equipment, technologies, and substations
- Physical ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and under adverse conditions
- Physical ability to wear PPE, including respirators, fall protection, hardhat, safety shoes, and glasses
- Travel up to 25% of the time, including overnight trips for outages at other facilities, possibly solar sites
- Domestic and occasional international travel permitted
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Compliance with ENGIE ethics and safety policies
- 50% indoor, 50% outdoor work; outdoor exposure to weather conditions
- Potential lifting of up to 50 lbs
Salary Range: $91,800 – $125,000 USD annually. This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. Actual salary offered may vary based on geography, experience, and other bona fide factors.
In addition to base pay, the position is eligible for a competitive bonus or incentive plan.
