The Information Architect will drive the structural design of the Corporate Infrastructure & Security (CIS) organizations information and content environment(s) to support the digitally enabled colleague. The person will be accountable for designing and building a centralized information structure to streamline user experience, provide easy access to information and content, promote self-service, and enable colleagues to take accountability for their behaviors. The Information Architect will work closely with team to ensure the information and content is presented in an easy and manageable way to optimize the search experience and support organizational and business goals and objectives.
Assess existing information and content structure and repositories to evaluate usability, accessibility, and usefulness to the end-user
Evaluate current user experience and identify opportunities for improvement
Conduct stakeholder and end-user interviews and research to determine requirements and inform design
Support the development of key organizational personas to further refine interaction with the information and content
Develop wireframes, user flows, site maps, etc. to communicate design and architecture recommendations to stakeholders
Collaborate with team to implement architecture strategy into sites/applications
Monitor end-user interactions and behavior with information and content to continuously improve and refine design
How You Will Get Here:
Proven work experience in information architecture, user experience, web design, or other related field.
Demonstrated experience in developing interfaces, large-scale websites, applications, etc. with a strong portfolio.
Working knowledge of core tools including Axure, Visio, OmniGraffle, Photoshop, as well as coding experience in HTML, CSS, etc.
Strong understanding of development processes, methods, and principles.
Strong visualization skills with the ability to clearly communicate, in writing and orally.
Self-starter; organized; detail-oriented; motivated to set personal and program goals and proactively track performance against goals and initiatives.
Strong project and relationship management skills to manage multiple priorities - projects, deliverables, and stakeholders.
Ability to work with both technical and non-technical audiences across the business.
Aware of current trends and new technologies in information architecture and design.
