What’s your day like?

As a Sewer and Drain Technician at Roto-Rooter, your day‑to‑day responsibilities will immerse you in the heart of plumbing and drain services. You will start each day by reviewing and planning your scheduled jobs, focusing on both residential and commercial plumbing jobs. Expect to operate state‑of‑the‑art equipment, including sewer cameras and hydro jetting tools, to diagnose and resolve plumbing issues. You'll work closely with experienced technicians, learning the ins and outs of drain cleaning jobs and trenchless sewer repairs while adhering to our core values of integrity and safety.

As you gain experience, you will manage sewer line inspections and undertake emergency plumbing jobs, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Whether you're handling routine drain technician tasks or complex sewer cleaning jobs, each day will be a rewarding challenge on your journey to becoming a skilled plumbing technician.

Safe equipment operation and awareness of job site safety practices are mandatory, along with the ability to lift heavy equipment as needed. Excellent customer service, clear communication with clients, and effective time management will enable you to work independently while maintaining a proactive approach. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required, along with a willingness to work outdoors and in confined spaces.
