An excellent opportunity for an experienced Bid Manager to join a specialist facades contractor delivering high‑profile building envelope projects across the UK. This Bid Manager will have a strong background in curtain walling, cladding, windows, and facades, and enjoy managing complex tenders from initial enquiry through to submission. The successful candidate will work closely with technical, commercial and operational teams to produce accurate, competitive bids, offering involvement in a varied portfolio of projects and the chance to contribute to the growth of a well‑established business.

This established specialist contractor delivers fully integrated design, supply, installation and project management services for complex facade projects. Working across new build and refurbishment sectors, the business has built a strong reputation for technical expertise, quality delivery and long‑term client relationships within the building envelope market.

As Bid Manager, you will be responsible for managing the preparation and submission of competitive tender bids for facade projects, including curtain walling, windows, doors and cladding systems.

• Review drawings, specifications, employer’s requirements and tender documentation
• Produce detailed and accurate cost estimates for facade and building envelope packages
• Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Prepare complete tender submissions in line with client requirements and company standards
• Identify value engineering opportunities while maintaining technical compliance
• Work closely with technical teams to ensure design intent and performance requirements are fully understood
• Assess commercial, technical and programme risks during the tender stage
• Prepare tender presentations and participate in bid review meetings
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating and bid management procedures

• Experience in a Bid Manager, Estimator or Quantity Surveyor position within the facade, cladding or specialist subcontracting sector
• Strong knowledge of curtain walling, windows, doors and rainscreen cladding systems
• Experience producing cost estimates and managing tender submissions for facade projects
• Understanding of system suppliers such as Reynaers, Schöwe, Aluprof or similar
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical ability
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and related software
• Previous experience mentoring junior team members would be advantageous
