Help shape students' understanding of Japanese literature's interaction with China as a Sessional Lecturer for EAS
235H1F at the University of Toronto. This in-person role includes lectures on Wednesdays, from 3 PM to 5 PM.
Commencing September 1, 2026, this sessional position demands an MA in a relevant discipline alongside teaching experience. You will be responsible for fostering a rich learning environment that reflects established pedagogical approaches and evaluation techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed lesson plans and deliver engaging lectures
• Teach and present topics on significant literary works and themes
• Manage grading for course assignments and exams
• Hold regular office hours for student interaction and support
Requirements:
• Completed MA or equivalent in a relevant area
• Clear communication and engagement skills
• Commitment to existing teaching methodologies
• Preferred:
Ph.D. with university teaching experience
• Proven record of superior teaching evaluations
