SRK Consulting is an independent, international consulting practice, providing globally integrated consulting services to the international mining and metals sector.
We are seeking a Senior Consultant (Structural Geology).
Description of ResponsibilitiesOur North American structural geology group is the largest within SRK, with a diverse cross-section of structural geologists. As a senior-level consultant within this team, your responsibilities include belt-to-deposit-scale structural analysis and interpretation of mineralized systems. Our work incorporates field analysis, advanced 3D modeling, and geophysical interpretation applied from early exploration through mining project development (including resource and engineering studies) to operational support.
An important aspect of working for SRK is the development of your consultancy. We encourage all engineers and scientists to grow their consulting skills under the broad SRK umbrella; therefore, the successful applicant will be expected to establish and maintain client relationships.
Essential Requirements- A postgraduate degree specializing in the structural geology of ore deposits
- 8+ years of applied structural geology experience in an exploration or operational capacity, including field-oriented, belt-to-deposit-scale structural analysis and the interpretation of mineralized systems
- Proficiency with GIS and 3D modeling software (Leapfrog)
- Mining / metals exploration experience
- Professional membership of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (PGO) or the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO), or eligibility to obtain it
- A strong theoretical background with demonstrated competence in defining applied solutions
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team to generate, implement, and complete projects
- An established network within the mining industry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Dynamic and energetic leadership skills, including the ability to mentor younger consultant
- Experience with modern, implicit modelling tools and/or geophysical interpretation
- Prior consulting experience
- French, Spanish, or Portuguese language ability

The estimated base pay range for this position is $120,000 to $160,000. The salary offered will be commensurate with relevant skills, knowledge, and experience.
This position involves working in multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects both nationally and overseas; international travel may form a significant part of the role.
