This role is responsible for providing direct support primarily to the Foodservice and Retail channels. Key responsibilities include direct management of inside sales accounts, pricing analysis and validation, as well as management of rebates and deductions. The person will report to the Vice President, Sales. The successful candidate must be a team player working with various functions including sales, supply chain, finance, customer service, sales administration.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly manage small portfolio of inside sales accounts
Book and manage sugar contracts, manage contract balances
Provide routine pricing and market updates to selected foodservice and retail customers
Enter customer complaints for Foodservice and Retail and follow up directly with customer for resolution
Validate pricing and check for discrepancies on execution of new pricing
Work with the supply chain and distribution team to develop sales forecasts
Become an expert in SAP, BI and Excel Plugin IBP.
Fulfill foodservice and retail customer sample requests, complete and submit deal templates, new listing forms.
Run monthly internal and external reports for customer portfolio and providing explanation for results above/below expectations.
Coordinate and run point on all sales accruals and deduction management. Clear and audit sales deductions and work closely with finance and sales teams to insure that accruals properly match up with deductions and rebate tables.
Collaborate with sales and other functions as needed on process improvements and projects aligned with corporate objectives.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or finance preferred
Minimum 3 years’ experience in food or B2B industry
ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)
Strong analytical skills
Advanced knowledge and proficiency of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Experience with SAP and BI a plus
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, interacts well with multiple departments as required
Dynamic and self-motivated
Excellent time management and priority setting
