Ocean import Coordinator Responsibilities
- Receiving, booking, routing, tracking, and processing Ocean Freight entries
- Rate negotiation, cost tracking, invoicing, and reporting
- Leveraging Descartes One View or IES system to transport Ocean Cargo
- Working alongside warehouse personnel to ensure accurate receiving, checking, packing, and material handling
- Work in concert with all operations and sales personnel to ensure efficient material handling, pricing, documentation, and communication to meet customer expectations
- Preparation of documentation, status reports, job costing and posting related to each file
- Prioritization of work duties daily with supervisor
- Must be articulate when presenting operational and technical information when communicating with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders related to job responsibilities
- Pricing experience
- Comfort working cross-culturally in an international context
- Domestic, Dispatching, Imports, or Air Operations experience a plus
- Ability to use Reporting Systems
- Familiarity with tools and technology
- Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic geography and mathematics
- Ability to anticipate needs and problem solve independently
- Strong prioritizing, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills in a rapidly changing environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or related fields is a plus
- 2-5 Years of Experience in Ocean Freight Operations and Ocean Import is required

Pay Range$55,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year (based on experience)

- Hours:
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM. Additional hours may be required - Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs., and move freely between office and warehouse environments
- Ocean Freight Operations (3-10 years required)
