Job Overview

Software Engineer – Onsite – Torrance, CA

• Design and implement software for test applications for both electrical and mechanical systems.
• Perform systems and software integration and verification activities using real and simulated hardware.
• Define and implement software requirements, perform system integration, execute verification testing, and maintain support of the software in the target environment while controlling project costs and schedule.
• Design and implement software that performs data acquisition and control for automated test equipment.
• Have knowledge of various computer interfaces, including hardware drivers.
• Stay up‑to‑date on advances in technology and processes for continuous improvement of accuracy, reliability, and cost.
• Develop maintainable software interfaces to electrical and mechanical systems.
• Domestic travel may be required as needed (up to 5%).

• 3 to 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline (preferred Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science) or Master’s Degree in Engineering with software development and verification work experience.
• Experience in Python programming.
• Position requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information.
• Open to earlier career candidates with relevant internships, some industry experience, and a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Position may require obtaining a U.S. government security clearance; clearance requires U.S. citizenship.
• Programming experience in Python, dSPACE, Simulink, or LabVIEW.
• Experience in the aerospace/defense industry.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization and work with external constituencies.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and convey complex regulations/procedures.
• Experience in a test/development lab environment.
• Mechanical and/or electrical knowledge in a hands‑on environment.

Salary Range: $85,000.00–$ annually (Torrance, CA).
