Lead Program Manager – Hybrid (Towson, MD)

This hybrid position requires onsite work in Towson, MD, minimally 3 days per week.

• Direct program management for engineering new product development – manage risks, coordinate project activities, and make decisions.
• Lead batteries and chargers development and manage category risks across multiple high‑complexity projects.
• Identify, recommend, and implement continuous improvement processes related to program management, process management, cross‑functional collaboration, and metric‑driven performance improvements.
• Monitor portfolio‑level metrics (e.g., agility, product cost, capital spending, CTQs) and recommend control actions to improve performance.
• Coordinate training and development of cross‑functional teams on improvement initiatives.
• Develop and implement mitigation plans for identified project risk.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to create timing and action plans, ensuring dependencies and critical path are communicated.
• Maintain technical knowledge through continuous development and certifications.
• Work with product management to develop and monitor program P&L and key drivers that affect overall program financial health.
• Schedule and assign resources, follow up on work, and complete projects on time and within scope.
• Prepare project status reports, communicate risks to leadership, and develop recovery plans.
• Facilitate efficient meetings and establish cadence and techniques for effective collaboration.

• 10+ years of experience in engineering product development.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong communication skills and experience in upward communication.
• Experience in new product development within consumer and professional goods industries.
• Personnel management skills and ability to lead cross‑functional teams, including executive leadership.
• Understanding of NPD financial principals and ability to analyze impacts of key variables (e.g., factory/loss costs, SG&A, capital, payback period).
• Knowledge of structured project management methodologies (e.g., Critical Path) and proficiency in Microsoft Project and Office applications.
• Solid understanding of basic manufacturing processes and project deployment best practices.
• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain constructive working relationships in a global, multicultural environment.
• Skilled in influencing others, articulating business cases, and interpreting cause‑effect impacts.
• Capability to solicit and document process flows and business requirements accurately.
• Experience in designing, developing, and completing project deliverables, including status monitoring and reporting.
• Proactive in identifying and eliminating obstacles to business goals.
• Willingness to support various project tasks as directed.
