Overview
Cybersecurity Engineer focused on operating, securing, and monitoring cloud infrastructure, including system hardening, patching, and vulnerability management. Translate DoD requirements from stakeholders to technical teams and ensure solutions meet these requirements. Help develop cloud-based security architectures for critical DoD systems using the latest cloud technologies to secure customers’ environments and build confidence in critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Operate, secure, and monitor cloud infrastructure; perform system hardening, patching, and vulnerability management.
- Interpret DoD requirements from stakeholders and translate them for technical teams; ensure solutions meet requirements.
- Develop and implement cloud-based security architectures and automation to secure environments and enable secure software delivery.
- Apply concepts such as automation of security events and zero-trust architecture to enhance security in critical infrastructure.
- Contribute to transforming software delivery for DoD environments and supporting mission objectives.
- Experience securing cloud infrastructure and applications in AWS Gov Cloud
- Experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) and DoD Cloud SRG requirements
- Experience with CMMC authorizations
- Knowledge of centralized logging, boundary defense, web app firewalls, system patching, RBAC, and vulnerability scanning
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III Certification
- Experience with scripting languages, including Power Shell, Bash, or Python
- Experience writing documentation
- Knowledge of cybersecurity risk management processes and tools used in DoD environments
- Knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance strategies and tools
- HBSS or ACAS Certification
- AWS Certifications

Secret clearance is required.
Compensation range is $62,000.00 to $ (annualized USD).
