Advanced Quality Engineer | Traverse City, MI

Salary Range: $87,000 - $128,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced quality control plans for new and existing products.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for complex quality issues.
• Utilize statistical methods and tools for process monitoring and improvement.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure quality at all stages of the product lifecycle.
• Conduct supplier quality audits and drive supplier quality improvement programs.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior quality engineers.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification
• Experience with Six Sigma Black Belt methodologies
• Familiarity with Minitab or other statistical software for data analysis
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans
• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
