General Duties
Provide high-quality of diagnosing and treating arthritis and other diseases of the joints, muscles, and bones. You will conduct research to determine the cause and find better treatments for helping your patients fight and overcome these disabling and often fatal diseases. Rheumatologist makes use various non surgical techniques and treatment options to diagnose and effectively manage rheumatic conditions.

Accountable for evaluating symptoms, assessing, recommends depending on the disorder and develop a treatment plan for patients. Providing patients with health care services that meet state and national standards in the medical profession. They are responsible for prescribing patients with appropriate medication for treatment, health regimens and lifestyle adjustments that will contribute to their recovery from diagnosed health issues, prevent future health issues and/or promote a healthier life.
Responsibilities
Treats arthritis, autoimmune diseases, pain disorders affecting joints, and osteoporosis
Treats over 200 other types of diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, gout, back pain, tendinitis, and osteoporosis
Treats soft tissue problems related to musculoskeletal systems and sports related soft tissue disorders
Diagnosing diseases of the joints
Studies signs and symptoms of rheumatic disease and evaluates it effect on their system
Designs customized and individualized treatments, depending on a patient’s disease
Studies and gauges the results of a patient’s lab tests
Uses technologies and tools like radiographs, MRIs, and ultrasound
Maintain historical records by documenting symptoms, medications, and treatment events and writing summaries.
Keep abreast of advancements in their specialization as Rheumatologist and best practices by attending seminars and conferences
Be prepared to leave at the end of the day only after patient care is completed.
Be willing to sign off on PA and Nurse Practitioner notes as well as review lab results and imaging studies during downtime (non-patient care periods during the clinical shift).
Maintain a professional appearance.
Understand the concepts of universal precautions, HIPAA and OSHA.
Position Requirements
Doctorate,   5 to 6 Years work experience
Qualifications
Holds board certification after specialized training
Strong analytical abilities to provide accurate diagnoses.
Excellent decision making, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and researching skills.
Experience with EHR (electronic health records) preferred
Proficiency with computers and medical equipment.
Ability to speak multiple languages will be advantageous.
Must have a criminal background check.

Education
Obtained an M.D. or D.O. through programs or specialist registrar positions equivalent programs
Experience
5+ years’ experience in the field of Rheumatology
