** About the Role
** The Project Manager / Engineer oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of heavy civil construction projects, serving as a key liaison between office operations and field teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with safety and quality standards.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Manage projects from kickoff through completion, including planning, scheduling, and execution
* Coordinate job strategies, materials, manpower, equipment, and subcontractors
* Serve as a primary point of communication between office staff, field teams, subcontractors, and vendors
* Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor progress, address issues, and support field operations
* Prepare and maintain project documentation, including budgets, schedules, subcontracts, purchase orders, COIs, lien notices, and submittals
* Maintain accurate and organized project records throughout the project lifecycle
* Support field teams with RFIs, scope changes (extras), and material quantity tracking
* Assist with project financials including subcontractor pay estimates, billings, and cost tracking
* Collaborate with CAD and engineering teams on drawings and project implementation
* Review geotechnical reports and soil borings to support planning and execution
* Evaluate site and soil conditions for piling, drilling, and related work
* Support field implementation of design drawings following project award
** Qualifications
* ** Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
* Experience in heavy civil construction (piling, drilling, marine, or bridge work preferred)
* Strong understanding of construction methods and field operations
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and geotechnical reports
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
** Work Environment &
Physical Requirements
*** Frequent travel to active construction sites
* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
* Walking on uneven terrain and climbing as needed
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
** Schedule
* ** Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
* Occasional Saturdays based on project needs
