Talent Manager, HR Manager
Overview
North - Remote Michigan (Local To Troy, MI Preferred). The HR Manager serves as a strategic architect of our talent and culture. Reporting to the VP, HR, this is a high-impact role designed for a leader who moves beyond tactical execution to drive organizational effectiveness. As a key member of the HRBP Functional Leadership Team, you will contribute to the overarching HRBP strategy for the company.
You will also serve as the dedicated HR Business Partner for the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and their organization, providing executive-level consultation to ensure teams are optimized, engaged, and aligned with our rapid growth trajectory. Additionally, you will provide International Leadership by managing and mentoring the HR Manager in Ireland, bridging North American strategy with European operations to maintain a unified global culture within the CAO’s organization.
We operate through the HRBP Value Delivery Framework and balance priorities to deliver impact across four dimensions: strategic partnership, operations, emergency response, and employee mediation.
- Executive HR Partnership:
Serve as the primary HRBP to the CAO, shaping organizational structure and talent strategy for their business units. - Functional Leadership:
Collaborate with the HRBP Leadership Team to set departmental standards, share best practices, and drive enterprise-wide People Operations initiatives. - Global Management:
Directly manage the Ireland-based HR Manager. Provide guidance on EU labor relations while ensuring practices align with our North culture and philosophy. - Talent & Succession Architecture:
Partner with Learning and Development to lead performance management design, leadership development, and succession planning for the CAO’s organization. - Change Catalyst:
Design and lead change management and communication plans for major organizational shifts within the CAO's remit. - Regulatory Compliance Oversight:
Maintain deep expertise in federal, state, and international regulatory changes (including Irish/EU labor laws) to ensure compliance and mitigate risk across jurisdictions. - High-Stakes Investigations:
Lead fact-finding activities and prescribe remedies for complex legal or ethical concerns, ensuring actions align with internal policies and external labor laws.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required - Experience:
Minimum 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a Senior Business Partner or Management capacity - Executive Presence:
Proven ability to influence C-suite leaders (CAO level) and navigate the complexities of a privately owned, high-growth environment - Sector Expertise:
Deep experience in Fin Tech, Payments, or Technology, particularly in supporting back-office or administrative corporate functions - Leadership: A track record of successfully managing other HR professionals, particularly across different time zones or international borders
- International Mastery:
Experience navigating the cultural and legal nuances of the Irish/UK labor market - Strategic Execution:
History of moving the needle on workforce planning, organizational design, and high-level project management - Technical Sophistication:
Expert-level proficiency in Workday and using HR data to drive business decisions - Certifications:
SPHR, GPHR, or SHRM-SCP designations
