Job Overview
Location:
Troy, OH (101 Waco St). Shift: 2nd Shift Monday-Friday 3:00PM–11:00PM.
- Obtain job assignments from supervisor or job assignment book, including piece quantity and special instructions.
- Read and follow standard operating procedures, engineering process sheets, and manufacturing specifications.
- Pre‑set tooling as needed for the job.
- Set up equipment using routings, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Machine components on assigned machines and inspect for blueprint compliance.
- Work with management to improve and document machining processes.
- Order gauge materials to support production.
- Clean and maintain work areas and equipment, including machine tools, workbenches, floors, and hand tools.
- Oil machines and check/maintain operating levels of fluids and machine materials (coolant, filters, oil).
- Move materials between workstations, cells, and the warehouse to maintain workflow.
- Complete approval tickets, consult with inspection for first‑piece approval, and record data as required.
- Retrieve items from the tool crib and complete necessary forms/transactions.
- Attend training classes, cell meetings, and perform other tasks assigned by management.
- High‑school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year CNC experience or completion of a machining certificate or degree (transcripts or certificate/diploma required).
- Experience working with technical documents (routing, blueprints, engineering process specifications, written work instructions).
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division).
- Physical requirements:
substantial reaching, moving, twisting, stooping; lift up to 25lb unassisted, higher weights must be assisted. - Must wear personal protective equipment as required.
