Arboriculture at Dalhousie University, Truro, Nova Scotia. Deliver in-person lectures and labs within a dynamic academic setting this fall.
This position is ideal for educators with at least five years of Arboriculture teaching experience. As the instructor, you will oversee all aspects of the course, including lectures every Tuesday and Thursday and lab sessions on Tuesdays. The use of Brightspace for course administration is essential, and you'll be evaluated on your teaching effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on labs for Arboriculture
• Use Brightspace to manage course content and evaluations
• Prepare tests and assessments to evaluate student understanding
• Maintain open communication with the department chair
• Foster an inclusive learning environment for students
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years teaching experience in Arboriculture
• ISA Certified Arborist certification required
• Bachelor's degree in Horticulture or related field
• Masters or PhD in a relevant discipline is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
