PositionSenior Program Quality Engineer – Onsite (Tucson, AZ)
Security ClearanceU.S. citizenship is required. Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance (DoD Secret) is required prior to start date.
What You Will Do- Identify and manage risk in the manufacturing process
- Support production, suppliers, first article inspections, and preparation for audits
- Verify product and process compliance with contractual, technical, industry, AS9100 QMS requirements and internal policies
- Interface regularly with DCMA
- Conduct daily status meetings with internal stakeholders to manage issues and weekly meetings to reduce the cost of poor quality
- Mentor Quality Engineers
- Oversee program‑wide strategic efforts that meet quality department goals
- Facilitate and drive a cross‑functional team in failure analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, including identifying non‑conformances, providing solutions, tracking issues to closure, and guiding Corrective Action Boards (CAB)
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in quality and/or manufacturing engineering
- Experience developing and using quality metrics
- Experience interpreting and ensuring compliance with TDP, contractual, or QMS requirements
- Experience with RCCA and continuous improvement methods
- Experience interacting with program leadership, operations, suppliers, customers, and internal/external stakeholders
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required.
- ASQ CQE Certification
- Experience with APQP methods (including FMEA, Control Plan, FAI/AS9102, SPC)
- Experience mentoring a cross‑functional team
- Experience interpreting and ensuring compliance with TDP and QMS requirements
- Experience working in a dynamic environment that requires prioritization and flexibility to support competing requirements
- Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems
- Demonstrated leadership in RCCA and continuous improvement projects
- Team‑player who achieves results and continuously strives for improvement
- Experience in PRISM, Business Warehouse, or RCAS
- Experience making decisions with limited information
- Critical thinking skills
- Leading without authority
$86,800 – $165,200 USD (representative of all experience levels)
