Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, restricted areas, and the perimeter, remaining prepared to carry authorized equipment consistent with an armed post.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, trespassing, theft, and/or disruptive activity while following post orders and applicable use of force guidelines.
• Support healthcare operations by assisting with de-escalation, escort requests, and security-related responses involving patients, visitors, and staff, while maintaining professionalism and attention to site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
