Another Source's client, Sabey Construction, Inc. (SCI), is recruiting a Preconstruction Manager to join their team in Tukwila, Washington.This is a pivotal, newly created role at the front end of some of Sabey’s most complex and high-impact builds, added to support the company’s rapidly growing pipeline of mission-critical construction projects.

About This Role:
As Preconstruction Manager, you will lead the critical planning, design coordination, and procurement phases that set the foundation for successful project delivery. From early concept through GMP development and handoff to construction teams, your work ensures projects are well-defined, strategicallyprocured, and aligned with Sabey’shigh standards.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a highly collaborative, detail-driven environment and wants to play a strategic role in shaping complex builds before they break ground. Your Contribution Will Likely Include:
- Partnering with the Director of Engineering & Preconstruction to refine and implement preconstruction processes and standards
- Leading coordination of the design process alongside internal teams and external partners, ensuring alignment with Sabey design phases
- Managing Procore throughout preconstruction, including document control, RFIs, submittals, and correspondence
- Reviewing design documents at each phase for completeness, constructability, and alignment with owner requirements and Sabey standards
- Identifying and mitigating risks early, including scope gaps and design conflicts
- Facilitating owner design reviews andmaintainingclear, organized documentation
- Managing RFP processes for design services, equipment, and trade partners, including leveling bids and supporting award recommendations
- Developing andmaintainingprocurement logs and tracking key milestones
- Building conceptual and detailed project budgets from early design through GMP
- Monitoring design schedules and ensuringtimelydelivery of milestones and deliverables
- Coordinating early trade partner engagement to inform design and budgeting decisions
- Preparing contract requests and supporting execution in partnership with internal teams
Experience You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related), or arelated field –or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience in construction management, with a preference for estimating, procurement, or preconstruction exposure
